Commissary Shelf Stocker - Whidbey Island -Nights
Location: Whidbey Island Commissary, Oak Harbor WA
Schedule: Monday-Saturday 9pm-4:30am (ending time varies depending on case load), with Sunday night off and an additional night off during the week.
Pay: 16.77/Hour plus excellent benefits package.

Requirements

A reliable shelf stocking crew member who stocks the Whidbey Island Commissary.

Ability to pass NAS Whidbey background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies will prohibit base access.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Operating pallet jacks to bring large pallets of cases throughout the store
-
Safely opening cardboard boxes with use of a box cutter
-
Placing product on shelves in an efficient manner
-
Ability to read UPC codes to accurately place product in the designated area
-
Pulling two items of product to the front of the self, while facing contractor responsible items
-
Bailing cardboard as needed
-
Stacking empty pallets
-
Must stand on step stools to reach high shelves

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

Ability to endure up to 9 hours a day of standing, and walking.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs repetitively throughout shift.

Must be able to reach, kneel, squat, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time

Schedule: Part time (20-30 hrs/week). This is a night position starting at 10pm.
Pay: $18.02/hour plus excellent benefits package.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 6pm – 1:30am.
Pay: DOE/plus excellent benefits package.

Requirements:

A reliable floor care janitor who performs special floor care, specific cleaning projects and daily floor cleaning duties in accordance with standard procedures in the contract.

Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required.
-
Ability to pass background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Floor care including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, burnishing, and scrubbing, requiring use of a buffer and an auto-scrubber machine.
-
Strip and re-wax floors based on a floor care schedule.
-
Vacuum, spot clean, steam clean and shampoo carpets.
-
Use of electrically powered scrubber and polishing machines to burnish.
-
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
-
Provide daily preventative equipment maintenance on all equipment used and ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
-
Outside cleaning including sweeping and some pressure washing.
-
Must be able to perform all above responsibilities as well as follow the performance work statement (PWS) in contract.

A reliable custodial crew member who cleans the Smokey Point Commissary.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following

Cleans and details facility. Removes trash; dusts equipment, furniture, or fixtures; vacuums carpet, cleans walls, mirrors or table-tops.

Floor care including sweeping, mopping, burnishing, and scrubbing, requiring use of a buffer and an auto-scrubber machine

Cleans lavatories, showers, and restrooms using correct chemicals on all surfaces. Dust and wipes-down fixtures, fills dispensers, empties trash containers, and mops floors.

Cleans breakrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and training rooms. Sweeps and mops floors, fills dispensers, and empties trash containers.

Grounds Maintenance (NAS Whidbey)
New Leaf is currently hiring for 8 full-time position on our Grounds Maintenance crew. (Seasonal) This is a day position, Monday-Friday starting at 8AM until about 4:30PM with a half hour lunch. (35-40 hours a week)
Interviews will be conducted the 2nd and 3rd week of February 2021.
*Potential for Winter layoff Oct-March depending on work load.

Maintains all grounds and road shoulders in specified areas.

Picks up and removes all rubbish, debris, and trash, which includes but is not limited to rocks, paper, pine, limbs and other portable objects.

Trims and prunes shrubs, ground covers, native plants, and trees planted in improved grounds according to their natural growth habit for proper health, attractive appearance in the appropriate season.

Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
Physical Requirements and Essential Functions:

Ability to endure up to 8 hours a day of standing, walking, and working on steep inclines such as hills and un-level ground.

Ability to work in diverse weather conditions (e.g., wet, cold, and hot).

Duties include but are not limited to food preparation, food handling, food service sanitation and other cleaning requirements as needed.
