Janitorial Driver - Days

Compensation: 15.43/Hour plus excellent benefits package.
Benefits: Paid holidays, sick leave, prevailing health and welfare amount, vacation after one year of employment, 401k plan after eligibility is met.

Employment type: full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, Potential for on-call time depending on need, Must clean for an hour on one weekend (rotating basis)


Requirements

  • A reliable janitor who services various buildings on NAS Whidbey. Able to occasionally clean 1-2 hours on weekends or holidays on a rotating basis. Employee may be asked to be on-call at times.

  • Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by New Leaf’s insurance carrier.

  • Ability to pass NAS Whidbey background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies prohibit base access.

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

  • Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Drives to various locations according to specified route.

  • Cleans and details facilities. Removes trash; dusts equipment, furniture, or fixtures; vacuums carpet, cleans walls, mirrors or table-tops.

  • Cleans lavatories, showers, and restrooms using correct chemicals on all surfaces. Dust and wipes-down fixtures, fills dispensers, empties trash containers, and mops floors.

  • Cleans common areas including high traffic areas, hallways, and stairwells.

  • Cleans breakrooms, lunchrooms, and coffee areas. Sweeps and mops floors, fills dispensers, and empties trash containers.

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

  • Ability to endure up to 7 hours a day of standing, walking, and stair-climbing.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.

  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions.

  • Must be able to work well with others either in a small group or with the entire crew.

  • Must arrive to the worksite on time.

  • Must not exceed absences past accrued sick leave.

  • Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Must wear safety vest at all times, full length pants, and closed toed shoes.

Commissary Custodian - Nights - Whidbey Island 

Location: Whidbey Island Commissary, Oak Harbor WA
Schedule: Monday-Saturday 9pm-4:30am (ending time varies depending on case load), with Sunday night off and an additional night off during the week.

Pay: 16.77/Hour plus excellent benefits package.

Requirements

  • A reliable shelf stocking crew member who stocks the Whidbey Island Commissary.

  • Ability to pass NAS Whidbey background check at time of hire and for duration of employment. Felonies will prohibit base access.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Operating pallet jacks to bring large pallets of cases throughout the store

  • Safely opening cardboard boxes with use of a box cutter

  • Placing product on shelves in an efficient manner

  • Ability to read UPC codes to accurately place product in the designated area

  • Pulling two items of product to the front of the self, while facing contractor responsible items

  • Bailing cardboard as needed

  • Stacking empty pallets

  • Must stand on step stools to reach high shelves

Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

  • Ability to endure up to 9 hours a day of standing, and walking.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs repetitively throughout shift.

  • Must be able to reach, kneel, squat, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time

  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal instructions.

  • Must be able to work well with others.

  • Must not exceed absences past accrued sick leave.

  • Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Must wear full length pants and steel toed shoes.

Schedule: This is a night position. Hours vary.

  • A reliable custodial crew member who cleans the Smokey Point Commissary.

  • Prior janitorial/custodial experience preferred but not required.

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

 

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following

  • Cleans and details facility. Removes trash; dusts equipment, furniture, or fixtures; vacuums carpet, cleans walls, mirrors or table-tops.

  • Floor care including sweeping, mopping, burnishing, and scrubbing, requiring use of a buffer and an auto-scrubber machine

  • Cleans lavatories, showers, and restrooms using correct chemicals on all surfaces. Dust and wipes-down fixtures, fills dispensers, empties trash containers, and mops floors.

  • Cleans breakrooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and training rooms. Sweeps and mops floors, fills dispensers, and empties trash containers.

  • Outside cleaning including sweeping and some pressure washing

  • Wipes down display glass throughout the store

  • Dusts high areas that may require the use of ladders

  • Bailing cardboard as needed

Commissary Shelf Stocker - Nights - Smokey Point

Location: Smokey Point Commissary, Marysville, WA

Hours: This is a night position. Monday-Saturday 8pm-approximately 3am (about 20-25 hours a week, ending time varies depending on case load), with Sunday night off and an additional night off during the week

  • $18.02 per hour
