In Memoriam

Captain Richard J. (Dick) Toft
Captain USN (Ret.)
July 14, 1940 – May 4, 2021
New Leaf fondly remembers retired US Navy captain and longtime New Leaf board member and president Dick Toft, who passed away recently at age 80.
A beloved pillar of the Oak Harbor community, Toft's passing was marked by the Rotary Club of Oak Harbor, who dedicated their restored memorial bridge at City Beach (Windjammer Park) in downtown Oak Harbor in honor of Toft and other Oak Harbor Rotarians.

The Rotary Memorial bridge being restored.
New Leaf remembers Dick Toft with warmth and gratitude for his service. New Leaf is honored to remember Toft with a memorial plaque at our office bench.
